Whenever possible, we try to limit the amount of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that goes into our diet. That means from time to time, I'll be in the grocery store reading the ingredient list on various products.
Last night I was looking at various kinds and brands of yogurt, and one of these had "Fructose Syrup" in its list of ingredients. I can't help but wonder if this is an attempt to be intentionally vague about some random new fruit-derived sweetener, or worse- if they're now trying to take HFCS and label it as "Fructose Syrup" to hide it from the GROWING BACKLASH OF PEOPLE WHO ARE SICK AND TIRED OF BEING BOMBARDED WITH HFCS. >_<
GET A CLUE, FUCKERS. What is so wrong about putting good old-fashioned, tried and tested cane sugar in your products? It has a more natural, pleasing flavor, and we have thousands of years of usage to know exactly what health benefits and detriments result from its use. Or you could also use stevia which is naturally supersweet and had been used for more than a hundred years- oh wait, I almost forgot that the FDA went and banned it as a food additive so that their friends in the HFCS industry could make a killing. Riiiiight.
